Curatorial Statement

Spatial interplay of easel painting and ceramic forms within the contemporary urban fabric.

A collaborative spatial exhibition combining monumental painting by Yevhen Klymenko and ceramic sculpture by Liliia Butenko. An inquiry into the interior state of human presence within urban and natural topographies.

The 'Inner Landscape' project creates a dialogue between two complementary media: multilayered large-format oil painting and tactile biomorphic ceramics. Yevhen Klymenko's canvases construct architectural portals and visionary horizons, while Liliia Butenko's ceramic sculptures materialize organic corporeality. At the opening, the artists enacted a collaborative movement performance, uniting canvas, fired clay, and live motion into a unified spatial experience.

'Inner Landscape' at Lavra Gallery presents a rare synthesis where expressive easel painting intersects with sensitive ceramic forms, capturing the psychological resilience of our contemporary epoch.
